Meals are served daily in the cabin and hot showers are also available on site.
Our camp is designed for small groups which follows our philosophy of quality
service.
Guides & Cooks:
Honest,
hard working, experienced and professional our guides bring enthusiasm to what
they do. The fact that the majority of our hunters request the same guide year
after year speaks volumes for the quality and skills of these individuals. The
quality of our food is some of the best you will find in any hunting camp and
is prepared by a great cook who will greet you with a smile on those early morning
wake up calls.
How you
can prepare for the hunt:
Get in shape and practice with your rifle at
various distances. Rifle caliber isn't as important as shooting straight. Minimum
caliber is .270. Know your rifle well.
Your chances of killing an animal will
be greatly improved if you can shoot well out to several hundred yards and can
hike well for reasonable distances. It is our job to get you as close as possible
to the biggest buck or bull we can find; it is your job to kill it.
Terrain:
Rolling sage and oak hills in the lower country with Aspen and steep Conifer draws
in the higher elevations. Meadows and beaver ponds dot the high country. Elevations
range
From 5,900 to 9,400 feet above sea level. In most cases we use ATV's
or Trucks to access the hunting areas.
Trophy
mule deer hunts:
A combination of premier habitat & genetics, professional
management, and top shelf guides have combined to make our mule deer hunting among
some of the finest available today. You will be hunting for a quality fair chase
180" or better buck in mountain habitat. We have a high consistent B&C
average on our mule deer hunts. Our guides spend many hours in the field pre-scouting
to ensure that your chances of success are maximized.
Elk
hunts:
First and foremost our elk hunts are fun! All hunts take place in
the rut with a rifle from mid- September to early October. We manage for high
bull to cow ratios and high hunter success. Well over 90% of our clients have
been successful on our bull elk hunts for many years. Bulls up to 330 Boone and
Crockett points have been seen and taken on these hunts.
Pricing:
Please call or e-mail if you are interested in our hunts and pricing
information.
There is an old saying that applies well to the current state
of affairs in the outfitting industry; "You get what you
pay for". You may find a cheaper lower quality hunt with
another outfitter but you will not find a better hunt for less
money.
